LWR Quilts Continue to Provide Critical Care and Support Long after a Disaster
Lutheran quilts spread love far and wide. Does your church have a quilt ministry? Would you like to know more about it? How to start one and who can help? Where do all the quilts go?
The link below can help with that and information is available at lwr.org. Terri Brown (tmbrown366@gmail.com) is the NC contact person and is happy to answer questions. Women from NC WELCA take a trip to the Lutheran World Relief warehouse in Maryland every year to volunteer with this wonderful ministry that brings so much comfort to people worldwide. When the 2025 trip information is available, it will be posted here.
Annual Gathering
The Annual Gathering will be held Friday, June 21 through Sunday, June 23 at Lenoir-Rhyne University. Registration deadline is May 30! Register early to help the planning committee!

Scholarship Applications
Christine Bohr Anderson Seminary Scholarship Application
The Christine Bohr Anderson Scholarship assists women who wish to pursue a seminary education at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary, Columbia, S.C., or the Center for Lutheran Studies, Atlanta, Ga.

Leadership Legacy
This is a scholarship program designed to financially assist young women who would like to attend NC Women of the ELCA events. More information is available on the Scholarship applications. For questions reach out to us via our contact form.

The Patterson Memorial Fund
The scholarship is available to members of a NC Synod, ELCA congregation who plan to attend an accredited four-year college or university for a bachelor's degree or one of the accredited seminaries, with financial need being a requirement. The application deadline is June 25th, and the scholarship funds come from the investments of the Karl B. Patterson and Family Estate, administered by Wells Fargo Company.
